The culture of UX craft

Like the baton handover in a relay, spec handoff – coupled with a robust timeline of walkthroughs, prototype demos and good communication both face-to-face and via video/chat – is a crucial step in the product process. Ensuring a project’s phasing and scope are understood requires working with engineers, QA, content design and localisation, to make sure that what we envisioned in the customers’ hands is what they experience.

Or as Brenda Laurel, a designer at MIT puts it:

“A design isn’t finished until somebody is using it.”
